Mickey Thompson Named Official Tire of the Carlisle Truck Nationals

Renowned Company Partners with Carlisle Events for 2012 Event

The Carlisle Truck Nationals showcases all things truck and have been doing so since its inception in 1991. This year’s event, August 3-5 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds, will feature something new from a business standpoint. Mickey Thompson, known worldwide for its line of tires and wheels, will have a prominent presence at Carlisle, inking a deal to be the Official Tire of the Carlisle Truck Nationals.

Mickey Thompson will be on site to showcase their products during the Carlisle Truck Nationals. Although the Carlisle Events partnership with Mickey Thompson Tires is formal this year, a walk through the employee parking at Carlisle tells another story. “They (Mickey Thompson) have been the unofficial tire of Carlisle’s event managers for many years,” noted Carlisle Truck Nationals Event Manager Ed Scholly. “Rick Markko, our Carlisle Ford and Carlisle GM Nationals Event Manager runs Mickey Thompson’s on his Suburban and Jeep, while our Chrysler Nationals Event Manager, Ed Buczeskie runs Mickey Thompsons on his Jeep and RAM.” Scholly continued, “I’ve been sporting Mickey Thompson Tires on my F150 as well. My co-workers and I have a first-hand love and use of their tires. Naturally we welcome the opportunity to work with Mickey Thompson.”
