New Food Options for 2011 Season

Carlisle Events Partners with New Vendors for a Great Selection of Taste

After a 30+ year handshake relationship with Duke Carter and the Carter family as its primary concessionaire, Carlisle Events is excited to provide a mouthful of new food options for the upcoming events schedule. Partnerships with local, regional and national vendors make this year’s “snack shack” an additional attraction at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds.


A remodeled concession area allows for more than ten new businesses, including Woody’s Fuel Stop, Famous Fried Chicken, Blazing Swine BBQ, Bricker’s Famous French Fries, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream, Marcello’s Ristorante & Pizzeria and more. In addition, Woody’s Fuel Stop and the partnership with local restaurant owner Don Brown (Firehouse Restaurant/Harrisburg, PA and Black and Bleu Restaurant/Mechanicsburg, PA) will allow for an added treat during our Import & Kit Nationals event, May 20-22. As attendees “tour the world,” intentional food will be served in conjunction with the countries represented, making the event a true Passport to International Excitement.


Along with the new fare on the grounds, numerous familiar outlets will return. Back for 2011 include the Nutty Bavarian, Cumberland Valley Concessions, Double Twist Soft Pretzels, Stoltzfus Pennsylvania Dutch Goods, Luxie’s Sweet Tooth, Sherri’s Fun Foods, Snyder’s Concessions, Subway and Sunrise Concessions.


“Carlisle Events has been very proud of the quality and variety of the food that we’ve served at our events,” noted Partner Bill Miller III. “We really take pride in the local flavor offered by our vendors and feel that 2011 will only show further expansion and more choices.”


Finally, Carlisle Events would like to thank the Carter Family for all that they’ve done since 1974. We sincerely appreciate all of their hard work over the years by providing a variety of great food and beverages for the millions of enthusiasts who’ve brought their passion to Pennsylvania’s Automotive Capital.
