Carlisle Events and MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust team up to host racing legend Mario Andretti

Carlisle, PA – Carlisle Events is proud to announce a partnership with MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust to host racing legend Mario Andretti on Saturday of the 29th annual Corvettes at Carlisle. Corvettes at Carlisle, the world’s largest Corvette extravaganza, will be held this year August 28-30 at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds and is a must-attend event for fans of all generations of America’s sports car. Racing icon Mario Andretti, who began his career in the Keystone State, will meet with fans, sign autographs and pick out his favorite Corvette on the Corvettes at Carlisle Fun Field.
Andretti, considered by many to be the greatest race car driver in the history of the sport, goes hand-in-hand with the 2009 Corvettes at Carlisle theme: a Corvette race car reunion. Expect to see a wide array of great race cars from each generation of C1 – C6 Corvettes. A 20th anniversary display of Corvettes that raced in the ’88-’89 Corvette Challenge Car Series will celebrate fourth generation Corvette race cars. This year’s Chip’s Choice Invitational Display will showcase Corvettes that have raced in the 24 hours of Le Mans. It is likely to be one of, if not the biggest collection of, Le Mans Corvettes to ever be assembled. Corvettes at Carlisle will also host free seminars throughout the weekend, including a racers’ round table that will give the audience a chance to hear war stories from various drivers, team owners and collectors.
Andretti’s appearance at the 2009 Corvettes at Carlisle is presented by MagnaFlow and their parent company Car Sound Exhaust Systems, Inc. who stand united in their passion to deliver the best performing, most durable and capable exhaust components in the world. Each new product developed by MagnaFlow is personally evaluated by President Jerry Paolone, tested by their team of designers and engineers, then field tested to ensure that these products meet MagnaFlow’s stringent quality and performance standards.
