Building T will feature the Tuned in T display, presented by the WR Team. Tuned in T will be a true representation of the timeline of our “tuner” passion. We hope to have old school original mack cars that started it all, new rides pushing the limits with the newest trends and everything in between on display. Who better to help put this display together than the WR Team, a local club known for innovation?

The VIP/Luxury display will be back at Carlisle but with a twist for 2010: On top of the invitational display housed in the Carlisle Pavilion, the VIP Lane will also include a designated showfield parking area. The playground in elementary school was the perfect place to show dominance and let it all out (in a safe and controlled environment, of course). We’re going to bring that back with the P&S Playground at the event this year. The P&S Playground will be an area with games, competitions and more. This will also be the host arena for the club games. Show dominance over rival car clubs and let it all out, like a kid again, at P&S 2010! Whether it’s for bragging rights or to add a photo for your display, the Carlisle Events Award Parade is a must-do for winners and spectators alike. Professional photography is available at the parade ceremony and available on-site for purchase.

If you cannot attend the parade, your award can be picked up Sunday between 2:00-4:00 PM. Carlisle Events will no longer provide shipping of awards at no cost. After the show you may pick up your award during regular business hours at the fairgrounds or we will ship awards for $10 each. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope you will join us on Sunday in celebrating the vehicles that are honored as winners.

New to Performance and Style in 2010 will be the Performance Pavilion display, showcasing the latest in Modern Muscle and vehicles built for performance, with over 350 horsepower. The Performance Pavilion will be both an invitational display and an area of the showfield for cars and their drivers that fit into this category, to park and enjoy the weekend. If you have a modern muscle car (Camaro, Challenger, Charger, Chrysler 300, Corvette, CTS-V, G8, GTO, Magnum, Mustang, SHO, Prowler or Viper) or you have an import built for performance, pushing over 350 horsepower please let us know by completing and submitting the 2010 Invitational Display Form below or by registering for the Performance Pavilion Showfield. On Saturday night, teamed up with the classic P&S beauty and burnout competitions will be the Loudest and Carlisle Lowest. Lowest – pull in, drag your ride and we will measure the bottom of the driver door, to determine who is the winner. This year, we will have two awards: Lowest Car and Lowest Truck. Don’t think we are going to forget about our mini brother and sisters! Loudest – pull-in, rev it and we’ll measure who is blowing the loudest exhaust system. Lowest and Loudest is limited to 10 contestants, sign up at the Guest Services Trailer located next to the stage.

Performance and Style will once again be a two-day show with a judged and non-judged showfield. Judging will take place on Sunday ONLY. We moved to this format last year and saw it as the chance to enjoy all of the activity happening on Saturday, with Sunday as business time! Vehicles will be parked in classes on Sunday and our terrific team of judges, from the WR Team, will conduct walk-around (no drive-thru) judging. Classifying will begin at 9:00 AM; ALL VEHICLES NEED TO BE PARKED IN THE JUDGING AREA BY NOON TO BE JUDGED.

No Carlisle event would be complete without the burnout contest. “Carlisle King (or Queen) of the Hill” bragging rights are up for grabs once again at Carlisle Performance and Style. Pre-registration is required at Guest Services. A show sticker (i.e. registered for vending or showfield), driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Participants are limited to 10 vehicles and 3 minutes each.

Contestants for Miss Carlisle Performance and Style compete for cash prizes on Saturday evening at the Grandstand. Ladies can register at Guest Services by the stage Friday and Saturday prior to the event.

In addition to the competition among the cars on the Performance and Style Showfield, there is a battle between clubs to see who has the most cars registered. As a bonus, we offer the use of a 20’ X 20’ tent to those clubs who register 25 vehicles or more. These tents are a great place to take a break and they make a great club headquarters for the weekend. Larger clubs may be eligible for a bigger tent. Contact us for details.

Carlisle Performance and Style is fun for the entire family and we have not forgotten the kids. On Saturday, the Kids at Carlisle Activity Center Area will have crafts and games for kids and parents to enjoy together. Don’t miss appearances by the Carlisle Events mascots Max and Mandy the Mechanic, who will visit the kid’s area periodically throughout the day. We also have lots of play activities that we think will “wow” the young ones. Come and check it out!
