A Journey Through F-Body Assembly Technology 1st Gen-6th Gen

Author of “The Echoes of Norwood” book, Phil Borris has been announced for Chevrolet Nationals weekend. As part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations for the Camaro and Firebird, fans of those brands and car fans alike will enjoy Phil’s in-depth seminars which aim to take participants through F-Body assembly technologies from the 1st Gen Camaro through the modern day 6th Gen Camaro. Additional topics include differences in assembly from the 1st Gen years in Lordstown and Van Nuys and how to restore those early cars. Phil will also look at how GM built these cars, plus he’ll take participants through the assembly of Gen 5 in Oshawa and all Gen 6 production in Lansing. In addition, you’ll see just how far we’ve come over the last 50 years. Phil will be located within Building T all weekend for book signings and will be hosting the seminars in the nearby seminar tent. Seminars times are TBD, but will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
