THE HISTORIC VEHICLE ASSOCIATION COMES TO CARLISLE
National Organization Presents the Preservation Award During Event Weekend
There are lots of classics onsite during event weekend but only one will win a special award from the Historic Vehicle Association, or HVA. Once again this year, the HVA recognizes the importance of event weekend and those who take part in it. For decades, immaculately restored vehicles have wowed spectators at large scale events like the Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. More and more, the ones that gain the attention of judges and enthusiasts alike are those that are essentially original.
No vehicle is completely “original.” But some cars do come captivatingly close. As such, the HVA now offers a Preservation Award, also known as the the FIVA Award. This award is now presented at many of the country’s most important events and was designed to both celebrate and acknowledge these one-of-a-kind vehicles.
Congratulations to the Preservation Award winner, Greg Qualls and his 1970 Hemi Challenger R/T SE.
HVA Comments on Mr. Qualls car: "It's in incredible, unrestored condition. Single family ownership and a fantastic history! Purchased new and owned its entire life by a Detroit Police Officer and Special Forces Veteran."
